I came up to Wakomata in August (2007) for a week away from my busy and stressful big city job. This was the first opportunity I have had in years to relax and connect not only with nature but with myself. The accommodations at Wakomata were ideal and the father/son team of Warren and Mike Townsend were very friendly and accommodating.

Wakomata Shores Resort is a truly wonderful place to relax or to be as active as you want. I spent the week fishing, hiking, swimming, relaxing and visiting the incredible beaches. The scenery is breathtaking and the sounds of nature soothing. I look forward to returning to Wakomata year after year, season after season. I would recommend this little piece of Northern paradise to anyone that is interested in going on a solo retreat or on a family vacation.
